Ceri created Art and Frost in 2017 in order to bring luxury specialist cakes to people with intolerances and special requirements. After spending 15 years in IT Operations Management Ceri left her job when her daughter was born in 2011. Her daughter was born with a dairy intolerance and Ceri herself is also intolerant to a number of food groups. In the early years of her daughters' life there was virtually nothing available to cater for them when it came to eating cake. This meant missing out, so Ceri started to experiment with dairy free, vegan and gluten free cooking. As a lover of cake she was determined to perfect a number of recipes so they could enjoy delicious cakes like everyone else.
It has taken several years of fine-tuning to develop various dairy free, gluten free and vegan recipes. During this time Ceri discovered she had a hidden creative talent and a flair for design. Having spent extensive time on 1-2-1 sugar craft training with the some of the best cake artists in the UK, she has now mastered the skill of making sugar flowers and piping using royal icing.
Art and Frost was created from a desire to bring specialist cakes to as many people as possible. Since embarking on this journey many adults and children have been able to enjoy scrumptious cake that they would not otherwise have been able to do. Ceri believes that no one, especially a couple on their wedding day, should have to go without cake because of a food intolerance. Ceri's flair for art, design and technical ability to use specialist ingredients means she can create visually stunning and beautifully tasting cake for everyone to enjoy.

Our cakes contain 3 layers of delicious sponge then are filled with buttercream and/or conserve. They can then be covered with buttercream frosting OR chocolate ganache and fondant for a smooth finish.

Prices are a guide only, a full quotation can be provided following a consultation where we discuss and design the detail of your cake. The final price will reflect the size, complexity and intricacy of the design chosen.

We specialise in creating cakes for people with food intolerances. We have spent years mastering various cake recipes without eggs, without dairy, without wheat and without gluten. We love what we do, this is our passion. We want to bring delicious cake to everyone, including all those who usually go without due to food intolerance issues. Please let us know if you have any allergies or intolerances and we will try and tailor our recipes to suit you. We handle dairy, soya, eggs, wheat, gluten and nuts in our kitchen and do use these ingredients in some of our recipes.
Design and Cake Tasting
If you would like us to make your wedding cake please contact us to check date availability. We hold wedding cake tasting and design consultations at our cake studio in Heskin, Lancashire. The consultation lasts around an hour. We ask you to bring along some swatches or photos of your wedding colour scheme then we can discuss your design over a cup of tea and some delicious cake samples. When the design is finalised we will send you an official quotation.
If you wish to secure a date for your wedding cake with us, we require a £100 non-refundable payment. Balance of your account will then be required 28 days before your wedding.
Due to the delicate nature of the decoration on our wedding cakes we prefer to deliver them to your venue on the morning of your wedding and set them up ourselves. Your delivery and set up charge will be included in your final quotation. Celebration cakes can be collected from our studio in Heskin.
